We Teach Science (WTS) is eight years old now! It was formed with an inspiring mission – “to inspire K-12 students to excel in math and science”. Having grown from one school to seven school districts across two states, it has been an amazing journey for all of us @ WTS, and we hope it has been equally rewarding for everyone who has supported us along the way.

During these eight years, WTS has built a culture of its own which reflects a set of values balancing thoughtful service to our community with a nurturing place for staff development. As we grow bigger and increase the scope of what we do, we have a desire to sustain the culture we have, while positively building on top of it.

In order to communicate what WTS stands for and how we would like to grow – we embarked on a journey to define our organizations’ Core Values almost a year ago. Through several leadership meetings and staff strategy sessions, we started the exciting journey of identifying our Core Values. As we began this process, we discovered that our organization’s values were mirrored by the personal values of WTS staff members, thus ensuring the sustainability of our culture through expansion.
