I was sitting down yesterday chatting with my son about his day at school. Quickly, the topic of math came up (we love math in our household: Drought Math and Kitchen Math) and that it was easy and boring right now in school. Together, about a month ago, we signed up for some online courses with video tutorials to allow him to move ahead at his own pace.
Chatting about how that was going, I got the response that it wasn’t helping. When I asked why, he responded with brutal simplicity: “You can’t ask a video a question”. At We Teach Science, our Remote Tutoring & Mentoring program provides students with a mentor to work with weekly (online) for an entire academic year.
What have your experiences been with online recorded math tutorials? We’d love to hear from you!
